Welcome to NOLA Mindfulness

We offer mindfulness meditation classes in New Orleans. Science has demonstrated that these practices reduce stress, anxiety, chronic pain, and symptoms of many illnesses.

Our main offering is an 8-week course in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). In this course, participants use meditation and yoga to reduce stress and promote well-being. MBSR was developed in the 1970s by Jon-Kabat Zinn, a molecular biologist and meditation practitioner. It is taught worldwide and has been the subject of numerous peer-reviewed studies demonstrating its efficacy.

MBSR is appropriate for anyone, regardless of physical condition, and no experience with meditation or yoga is necessary. You can learn more about the curriculum in our MBSR FAQ or read testimonials from past participants.

We also offer a Saturday drop-in mindfulness meditation group for MBSR alumni and the general public, as well as mindfulness workshops for schools, businesses, medical settings and other groups.

New MBSR course begins in January

We are offering a new MBSR course on Wednesdays beginning in early January. The price is $385. Financial aid is available and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The course may fill and preference will be given in order of registration. Contact Dan@nolamindfulness.com with any questions.
